About the Watch: 

This 1960's-70's BWC, Buttes Watch Company, dress watch has a wonderful silver sunburst dial with original hands and perfect lume plots. The applied Deco style numerals and batons are highly legible and clean. The manual wind movement runs strong and keeps good time. The case is razor sharp and unpolished. We fitted this piece with a steel gray Museum calf strap which complements the dial nicely. The size is excellent and wears great on the wrist. A beautiful watch all around from a great Swiss brand founded in 1924. 

About the Brand:

BWC or Buttes Watch Company was founded in 1924 and continues to operate under the same name, though now located in Germany. BWC was one of the first brands to adapt in the 1960's to the changing landscape in watchmaking and in 1975 was the first to launch the first fully developed quartz analog watch. BWC is experiencing a bit of a renaissance as the market clamors for the hidden gems in the vintage mechanical watch world and has seen their value increase steadily over the last few years.
