About the Watch:

This 1990 full size Speedmaster powered by the classic manual wound caliber 861 movement. The dial is flawless and has lightly patinated tritium lume. The pushers have been replaced and the watch movement has been completely overhauled. The Omega Speedmaster Professional is ubiquitous when talking about chronographs and classic watch design. The "Speedy" as owner's affectionately refer to them has not changed much since Omega's original design, and for good reason. The size, dial layout and twisted lug horns are both elegant and sporty. The case is strong and shows wear from the previous owner. While we do believe the watch to be unpolished, we would not make that claim as it is so hard to discern. We purchased this watch directly from the original owners wrist. The watch will come with the original bracelet as well.

About the Speedmaster:

The OMEGA Speedmaster: Introduced in 1957 as a racing watch, it gained fame in the 1960s for its pivotal role in space exploration. NASA rigorously tested watches for its space program, and the Speedmaster emerged as one of the select few to meet the criteria. “Flight qualified” for manned space missions since 1965, it adorned astronauts during the Apollo 11 moon mission in 1969.

The Moonwatch boasts features ideal for space: a chronograph function for timing critical events, a tachymeter scale to measure speed, and resilience to extreme temperatures. Its iconic design—black dial, white hands, and tachymeter bezel—remains largely unchanged. This manual-winding timepiece has graced wrists of historical figures, including President John F. Kennedy. Today, the OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch continues production, standing as an iconic and recognizable watch worldwide.

About Vintage Watches:

Please note that nearly all vintage watches are not water resistant, despite any markings on the case or dial, and care should be taken when wearing. All vintage watches will show signs of wear and patina, our favorite part. Scratches and marks on the case, crystal, and case back are all part of the charm! All of our vintage watches have been cleaned, overhauled, timed and are running as intended. We leave them in unpolished condition when possible. Vintage watches should run as intended, however, some slight variations in timekeeping are to be expected. Plus or minus 10-30 seconds a day is common. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, we love talking watches.
