      About the Watch:

This 1960's Hamilton is exemplifies the era with a patinated white dial and striking black "panda" sub dials. The 7730 Valjoux movement has a 30 minute chronograph function which starts, stops, and resets beautifully. The crown is unsigned which is correct for this model. Solid stainless steel case is thick and original bevels are visible. The case has likely seen a polish at some point in the past. The exterior of the dial near the rehaut has some damage likely due to water or lack of a crystal at some point. The tachymeter is blurred and smudged at some points. There is also some minor discoloration to the dial, and the original lume plots have darkened to a deep brownish black. The movement remains in pristine condition, runs strong and has been serviced recently.

      About the Brand:

Hamilton has a wonderful history that started in the United States in Lancaster Pennsylvania in 1892 producing pocket watches. They provided watches to the US railroad and US troops in WWI and WWII. In 1957 they produced the worlds first electronic battery operated watch and in 1969 worked alongside two other Swiss brands to create the worlds first automatic chronograph, the Caliber 11. In 1974, Hamilton was bought by SIHH, better known today as the Swatch Group. They have gone on to produce affordable and beautifully made Swiss watches that still focus on accuracy as they did from the very beginning.

      About Vintage Watches:

Please note that nearly all vintage watches are not water resistant, despite any markings on the case or dial, and care should be taken when wearing. All vintage watches will show signs of wear and patina, our favorite part, and scratches on the case, crystal, and case back are all part of the charm! All of our vintage watches have been cleaned, running, and left in unpolished condition when possible. Vintage watches should run as intended, however, some slight variations in timekeeping are to be expected. Plus or minus 10-30 seconds a day is common. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, we love talking watches.
